Community Baptist Church

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20

About Us

Community Baptist Church was organized on May 19,1970 with 24 people in attendance.

Pastor Wayne Ritchie was called to be the Pastor at that time and served for nearly nine years.

The church met in the Enterprise Grange Hall until ten acres of property were purchased. The parsonage was built first, and the church met in the garage of the parsonage while construction on the church building was progressing. On August 8, 1971 the church broke ground and by April of 1972 the church held its first service in their new facility.

After Pastor Ritchie, Glen Gustafson pastored the church for ten years followed by Pastor Marvin Boyer who served for two years. Pastor Stan Lightfoot, Jr. was interm pastor for one year.

Pastor Daryl Taylor, the current Pastor, has served here since September of 1993.

Today, by the grace of God, Community Baptist Church ministers to people of all ages throughout the world and right here in our community. We have classes for all age groups, a nursery for all services, and many opportunities for people to serve the Lord.

If you are considering a visit, take a look at the map and service times. If you would like more information about our church, please contact us.

What We Believe:

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and authoritative Word of God for the Christian faith and living.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling every Christian is able to live a godly life.

We believe that all people are lost sinners and must turn to Christ in saving faith and repentance for regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the resurrection of both those who believe in Jesus and those who do not believe: those believing to eternal life with Christ and those unbelieving to eternal punishment in hell.

What Makes Us Distinct:

We believe the church is a congregation of immersed believers that endeavor to carry out God’s word in their lives. We practice close communion (requires membership in a faithful church).

We believe that it is necessary for a believer to not only separate themselves from sin, false teaching, and those who engage in such, but to withdraw from even professing believers who fellowship with those who would misrepresent Christ.

We believe that Christ is coming again to take His saints with Him (known as the rapture), and that after a time period (known as the Great Tribulation) Christ will come again to establish an earthly kingdom. After Christ has ruled for 1000 years, Satan will try to overthrow Christ and his followers, but will be defeated himself. Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, and those who know Christ as Savior will live with Him for all eternity.

We believe that much of today’s worship styles emulate the practice of the world, and should be avoided. As such, we practice a traditional form of worship using hymns, orchestral instruments, and old-time preaching of God’s Word.
