For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Pastor Jeff
Jeff Schmitz has been the Assistant Pastor of Community Baptist Church since the summer of 2003.
At the age of 5, Jeff made a profession of faith at his bedside. Growing up in a christian home, he learned much about God and His word. While attending Northland Camp in the summer of 1990, Jeff was lovingly confronted by his counselor who asked if he knew Christ as his Savior. It was at that moment Jeff realized that he was living a lie, and he needed Christ to save him from his sin. His counselor showed him from the Bible how he could have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and Jeff believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation. He was baptized shortly thereafter, and a few years later dedicated his life to the Lord. God led Jeff to attend Bob Jones University, and in the spring of 2000, he graduated with a B.A. in Bible. The next year he and his wife, Jessica, returned to Bob Jones University so that Jeff could attend seminary. The birth of their first child and other opportunities from the Lord changed their plans, and they returned to Michigan. In June of 2003, Community Baptist Church called Jeff to be the Assistant Pastor focusing on ministering to teenagers. Jeff, his wife, and their 4 children love the church and praise the Lord for the great grace he has shown in bringing them to CBC. Jeff loves reading, tinkering with his computer, and talking to teenagers about their life with the Lord. He has a burden to carefully unfold God's word so that believers might grow in Christ.
