Pastor Taylor Pastor Daryl Taylor is the Senior Pastor at CBC and has been serving here since 1993. Pastor Taylor was saved at the age of 10 while attending a “Good News Club” in Clyde, Michigan. His family later moved to Grand Blanc, MI, where he attended Bethany Baptist Church and was baptized at the age of 16. He surrendered his life to full time service in 1972 and began his education at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, WI. He majored in Missions and Bible with a minor in Pastoral Studies. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in July of 1984 while serving as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church in West Bend, WI. While attending Marantha, Pastor Taylor met his wife, Marilyn, at Rock Lake Baptist Church in Lake Mills, WI. They were married in 1978 and have five children, three sons and two daughters. The Taylor’s have served at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ashland, WI, Berean Baptist Church in Escanaba, MI and since 1993 at Community Baptist. In 1987 Pastor Taylor lost the sight in his left eye and had vision damage in the right eye. He is legally blind, but with the aid of magnifiers and the computer is able to continue serving as Pastor. He and his wife love the ministry and consider themselves blessed and honored to serve the Lord. Aside from preaching Pastor Taylor and his wife do family counseling, special speaking engagements and a host of other ministries relating to the church. They are very “people oriented” in their ministry. “We love ministering to people”. Their desire is to continue serving the Lord at Community until the Lord calls them home. Back to Pastoral Staff
